Description

If I was looking for words to describe Mark Texeira's artwork, some of the first ones to come to mind would be moody and atmospheric. When I found out I would have the chance to meet him at the 2010 Mid-Ohio Con, I decided to have him render Phoenix for me...the Rachel Summers version that carries the burden or a haunted and horrific past upon her shoulders. This is the piece he did for me...and to me, it's classic Tex: Fine linework with a very evocative feel to it. I love it! Thanks, Mark!!! :D

She's a beauty! And I totally agree with you about Mark. In addition, I would say he uses with the same amazing skill a wide variety of media, from pencils to watercolors to oil paints.
