From May 2009:

This is another in my series of commissioned tributes to the original Thing team-up book: Strange Tales.

Strange Tales # 129, originally drawn by Dick Ayers and "Frankie Ray", tells the story of the Thing and the Human Torch tangling with the Terrible Trio. The guy on the flying carpet is Yogi Dakkor, the fellow with the gun is Handsome Harry Phillips and the hired muscle wrapping the Thing in a railway track (like that would work!) is Bull Brogin. I picked this story as a small tribute to my Dad, who is a big train nut.

My thanks goes out once again to artist Mike Machlan for the wonderful job he did adapting this old storyline into a new commission. I know I sound like a broken record, but Mike's commission services get my highest possible recommendation.

This was worth it just for Yogi Dakkor. Mike's done such an amazing series of pieces for you please promise us they will never stop!
