DescriptionNew Avengers FCBD pg 23by Jim Cheung and Mark Morales Marvel - May 2009 Picked up this comic on Free Comic Book Day from my local comic shop and was slapped with a visual reminder of how amazing the Cheung/Morales duo can be. This is one of my favorite issues Jim and Mark have done to date. I often ogled at this page on Nick Nemphos' CAF page. When Nick put it up for sale for a VERY limited time I jumped at the chance to pick this one up. Many many thanks to Nick for parting with this piece! So many great characters on this page - Ms. Marvel, Thor, Iron Patriot, Ares, Mockingbird, Captain America, Spiderman, Ronin, Luke Cage... Social/Sharing |

I hate it when I guess right?! I remember this page when I read the issue and I contemplated getting it...but passed. But is it quite spectacular!! A powerful shot of Thor! Nothing but eye candy goodness from Jim and Mark! Thanks for sharing...

as amazing as Thor looks here... my fav. part is Iron Patriot in the bottom left panel.... Jim's draws armor like nobody's business...

sigh......you got real lucky with this one it was always considered a part of the permanent collection but alas surgery...it's a great piece and I'm glad it's in the home of someone who really appreciates Jim's work...That Thor image is a beast Jim did great work on this one :)

Jim Cheung's Thor comes close to Oliver Coipel's as my favourite.
