Description

Encre de Chine et bic pour ce grand dessin qui constitue la planche 11 de cet album réalisé en hommage et sur une diée du maître cinéaste italien Federico Fellini (image provisoire, en attendant un scan de meilleure qualité...). Publié en 1990 chez Casterman.

Un album d'une grande poésie et élégance, marqué aussi par un esprit psychédélique (lié à l'histoire vraie du voyage de Fellini au Mexique), dont cette "splash page" est très représentative.

Voir aussi la planche 14, dans cette même galerie. Il ne me manque que la 12 et la 13 pour clore cet épisode sous marin, rare chez Manara!

Breathless masterpiece full of details, symbols and so well balanced from my fav Manara's work.. the airplanes wrekcs in the Fellini's idea represents the movies projects never done.. and the flying-swimming hat is himself (Federico) exploring in this fantastic dream and going to find his fav alter ego 'puppet' Marcello Mastroianni inside a wreck.. it's also intersting the presence of Pegasus in first plane, probably there's a meaning in it too. ^_^
