Byrne shows why he is a master with this cover. The detail on this eye popping! The use of light and shadow makes Wolverine's eyes truly pop, bringing the intensity up to 11.

Awesome collaboration! I remember some controversy over the piece. Was it that Byrne inked his portfolio piece using a light box? And this is both his pencils and Pérez's amazing inks!

I've added images of the Byrne 1993 pencils that were inked by Perez in 2003 and images for comparison of the Byrne and Perez inked versions of the image. Both versions are great.
