DescriptionThor #280 (Feb 1979)Wayne Boring was the primary Superman artist of the 1950s. In this piece, he pencilled Thor in combat with Hyperion, a Superman-analogue from the Squadron Supreme. So, a DC artist drawing a Marvel book with a Marvel version of the DC character the artist is most associated with = cool. Also, I like the guy in panel 3 looking at the battle - "WTH?" Wayne Boring and Tom Palmer make a great team here -- and, as you pointed out, seeing a significant Superman artist's take on two of Marvel's mightiest supermen adds a lot of historical interest to the piece.
