DescriptionThis is one of my FAVORITE Catwoman images, based on the 1992 TPB Cover from circa-Batman Returns, reprinting Catwoman and Penguin stories.One of the greatest parts of collecting original comic art is the ability to meet/commission the creators of your favorite images. Eduardo Barreto is the gentleman behind this beauty, and after a little prompting, Beau Smith put me in contact with Eduardo. Eduardo was great to work with and delivered a high quality 11x17 - recreation of my favorite published Catwoman piece. In keeping with my excitement after "The Dark Knight", I asked Eduardo to substitute The Joker for the Penguin. Social/Sharing |

WOW ! What an incredible commission ! I've almost admired Eduardo Barreto, one of the truly underrated masters of the medium. Congrats on a great addition to your collection !

A well-conceived recreation, Anthony. Eduardo did a great job of substituting the Joker into the piece in such a way that it feels like he was always intended to be there. Stronger than the original, sir.

Substituting the Joker brings a completely different feel to the piece. I agree Barreto does a fantastic job, a joy to work with. Congrats!

Amazing piece and I never liked the Penguin any way so this is a definite plus. Another enviable piece you have added to the collection.

What a fantastic commission! Barreto's work is superb--I especially like his rendition of Catwoman.

This is a great piece. I've always been a big Barreto fan. His work is sorely missed.
