Description

Pickup at the New York Comic Con. Wonderful to talk to the artist. It�s something I probably wouldn�t have been interested in, but seeing it in person was something I really enjoyed. Thanks to Kwan Chang also for helping facilitate. Now to start playing the video game.

Stunning cover to the Gears of War Sourcebook! I haven't seen too many video game covers presented on CAF before, but why not? It's certainly a gorgeous drawing. Stephen Platt clearly went all out drawing this image of a soldier battling evil mutants? zombies? aliens? I love the way he's holding his weapon away from the attackers. And what is that weapon anyway? Some kind of cross between a machine gun and a chainsaw, it looks like. Anyway, it's a pretty fierce drawing by a very talented Stephen Platt. Great pick-up!
