Descriptionso when I set up my Christian Bale commission I was actually really really torn between getting a portait and getting a Boy Blue piece. I decided to go for the portrait and leave the Blue piece for a later date...So at the pre Heroes dinner of the Stelfreeze Yahoo Group, Robert pulls me aside because he has something to show me. And then he hands me this. I'd go on on how epic this piece is (just look at the design!) but I think it speaks for itself. It's also the PERFECT example that you dont always have to show everything. Brian captures the character so perfectly it's not even funny. So massive thanks to you Robert. You rock dude. And of course Brian. He's a bloody genius. And as usual, scan doesnt nearly do the colours justice. If you've never had a chance to see Brian's work in person, try to make a point of it at your next con. Social/Sharing |

Brian is an awesome talent, but you are so right to mention Robert! He makes the magic happen for the fans!!

This one just made be smile, such an interesting composition which you can project the knowledge of the character onto. Nice.

Brian and Robert were saying that Blue is the kinda guy who is sexy without really knowing it, and I think that part really shows in this piece. Plus it has a sort of maturity about it that works for him in the later issues while still keeping the kind of 'happy go lucky' side from the earlier ones. I just love this piece.
