Description

A photo my mother took of Bob Kane and myself when he stayed with us at our home in La Jolla, CA in August of 1978. Kane was having a one man showing of his original art and lithographs at the Old Towne Circle Gallery at this time and was likewise one of the the Guests of Honor at the San Diego Comic Convention that was held at the El Cortez Hotel from July 26-30th.

Bob was simply great with young fans and very kind to me. And yes, he did a myriad of art pieces for me and my family. One of the fondest memories of my comic book career.

This is so very cool! So many of us like to meet our favorite artists at a comic convention, but to actually meet the creator of Batman...my goodness, that is just so freakin awesome. Thanks for sharing!
