Description

Original cover artwork for DC Comics Presents #23 (DC - July, 1980) by the talented team of seasoned artists Ross Andru (pencils) and Dick Giordano (inks). Superman "Man of Might" meets Doctor Fate "Mystic Mage" in this eclectic tale entitled, "The Curse Out of Time!" Doctor Fate journeys back and forth between Earth One and Earth Two to order to find a cure for his beloved wife, Inza who is plagued by a horrible generational curse. He must do battle with an pesky inter-dimensional imp and aid Superman in his struggle with a blood thirsty privateer in order to accomplish his goal.

This cover art is simply sensational in every aspect possible, featuring an iconic image of the enigmatic Doctor Fate as he strives to free the greatest of all superheroes from a mysterious magical enslavement, which will doom the man of Steel for all eternity.

All-in-all, Doctor Fate artwork is quite scare in the marketplace. And, to find a cover (which is much rarer still), and especially one with such an impressive image of the Mystic Mage, is a very special treat indeed.
