DescriptionWonderful full color re-creation of the Golden-Age Flash Comics #1 by the issue's original artist, Harry Lampert. Done in 1995 in the twilight of his career, this piece is a beautiful re-creation of the title page from the anthology title Flash Comics #1 (originally published in January, 1940), which introduced the original Flash (Jay Garrick), created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Harry Lampert. For this piece, Lampert chose to feature a large full-blown image of the Flash in the opening splash panel and then selected out key and interesting panels from the story to feature along side it.
