Description

This commission is a new one I just got back from artist Andrew Wildman. He doesn't attend many conventions outside of the UK where he lives and rarely takes on commissions. So needless to say I was very happy to get this from him!

For those of you haven't heard of him he is popular for his long runs on both the USA & UK versions of Transformers & GI Joe comics. This is of course when they were both still Marvel properties and very popular. In the USA he was the final artist to work on Transformers which was cancelled out of no where and rebooted as Transformers Generation 2. Marvel offered him the penciling job but he turned it down. Wildman also drew the first Black Cat solo comic in 1994. This was a four issue mini-series titled "Felicia Hardy: The Black Cat". In 1994 he did a 6 issue mini series for Spiderman titled "The Arachnis Project" along with good runs on Spiderman 2099 and X-Men Adventures.

I wanted to get a commission that touched on parts of his great career with Marvel. I thought an Amazing Spider-man blank cover comic would look great with a sexy image of Black Cat getting undressed wearing her Spidey crime fighting undies. Then for the back I thought a re-imagined Transformers 3 cover of Megatron vs Spider-man would look awesome so I asked him to do it his way. Only wish there was more space on the blank cover for some GI Joe Characters to... maybe that will be my next commission. Andrew has two different signatures that he uses. One is for covers he draws and another for when he autographs art and comics. I asked him to use both his signatures for this commission.

Very pleased with the final result and it has been mailed off to CGC to be graded under the signature series line. I had a question about doing a CGC Signature Series without CGC being onsite to witness the signature or drawing. You need to contact CGC by email from their site and ask for their SSCreatorAuthentication.doc form. This form MUST be filled out by the person who signed or sketched the comic and it MUST be mailed directly from the creator. You CANNOT mail the comic in yourself! You will also need a CGC Submission form completed with your payment and mailing information that the artist will have to submit with the comic and the SSCreatorAuthentication.doc form. Luckily I've had several kind artists that have been willing to mail in the comic to CGC after they have sketched it form me.
