Hadn't seen this yet. Very sharp! I'm curious as to how much "prompt" you gave to Bret as far as subject matter. Anyway, it turned out great.

well, i rambled on and on about Norman Lindsay, Canaveral press and wanting narrative art with female focused situations. Sent 4 images of broadsheets done by Rubens, and a couple massively complex Lindsay pen and ink drawings. He was kind enough to work back from there, taking my lofty ideas and making them match my limited funds. He put in much more work than he was properly compensated for. But no, i didnt give him much guidance in subject matter.
