I'm not all that familiar with this artist, but this is way cool. It is also very reminiscent of characters in the movie "The Mysterians" (well, that was the English title anyway), which was one of the more inventive SF movies Toho produced. The monster looks like Mogera (a play on the word for "mole" -- the critter, not the facial blemish or the spy), the kaiju-like robot employed by the aliens to attack Earth.
