Description

Roger drew this in my Berkeley comic book store in the mid 1970s shortly after he sold me original art from many stories by him as well as collection pieces of his Alex Toth, Harvey Kurtzman, Wally Wood and others. After that had been happening for a while, I hired Roger to work inside the store. Some time later Kim Deitch was working for me as well. Those were mostly fun days, or should I say "daze" ?

Roger Brand used to work for me. This was drawn during the first week I hired Roger back in late 1976. He was my first employee in my first Haight Ashbury comic book location upon severing ties with Comics & Comix, another comics chain store operation I was a partner in, having been involved in opening its first days in Aug 1972. I miss my friend.
