DescriptionTomb of Dracula for my money is one of the ten greatest comic series ever made.I love this page. The three most important protagonists of the series all on one page and here for the first time Frank confesses to Rachel that he loves her. I like all issues Gardner Fox did for ToD and Colan & Palmer are at the peak of their powers. Social/Sharing |

The darker the better by this artistic duo. These Hammer style gothic horror visuals and themes were all the rage and Colan/Palmer knew just what to do.

Gene Colan was a master. His panel choices along the top (as Dracula seals them in) are a fine example of his cinematic storytelling. Wonderful choice of camera angle changing to total blackness!

Doesn't matter if it's Sub-Mariner, Daredevil or Tomb of Dracula, Gene Colan was camerman and co-director in one person and should have received a lot of comic oscars 😄.

An outstanding page from this book. Seeing it in its original art form makes me appreciate it even more. Beautiful.
