Description

The ever-lovin', blue-eyed Thing faces off against the villainous Ringmaster in this commission by the great Joe Sinnott. On top of all his other considerable accomplishments in the field, Joe inked the original cover art (over Jerry Bingham pencils) to Marvel Two in One 76. A true gentleman and a fantastic artist. I remained humbled and grateful that my collection is graced by this commission.

This drawing was completed in October 2003. My thanks to Mark Sinnott for all his help in setting this up.

Update 2004: This commission is now published (in colour!) in the Joe Sinnott Sketchbook Vol.1 (2004).

Update 2007: This commission now appears on page 53 of "Brush Strokes with Greatness", the Joe Sinnott biography published by Twomorrows.

Rest in peace, Joe. Thank you for everything.

Wow, that had to be the most abbreviated fistfight in the history of Marvel Comics. :) Nice catch!
