I've coveted a Byrne Avengers page for awhile and on the rare circumstance one becomes available it sells in a matter of minutes or is priced through the stratosphere. Byrne West Coast Avengers pages are also becoming near impossible to find on the open market. I had been watching this one for some time but always seemed to jump at other opportunities thinking this one could wait. All too often by the time you're ready to buy, the page is sold. I felt it was time to pull the trigger on this page before I lost my chance. Ultron is my favorite Avengers villain and I think Byrne's Wanda is second to none. This features a great half splash of Wanda and Hawkeye taking on Ultron (turns out to be a fake Ultron decoy). John Byrne masterfully illustrated the Scarlet Witch on this page and he also did a great job on Ultron and Hawkeye. The upper panels feature Hank Pym. This issue is also significant as it is the first in the Vision Quest storyline where Wanda's mental stability again is put to the test (If they only knew). Just a great example from the Byrne West Coast Avengers run, featuring key characters, from a significant story line and in great condition. Enjoy!

Finally she is back. I had to trade this away as a small part of the deal to acquire the Avengers 118 splash. I'm glad to say this gem is finally home.
