DescriptionHow often do you come across vintage Elric by Michael Whelan? This piece is stunning in person, you can feel the anguish pulsating through Elric as he grabs his nefarious black blade. This is another piece that has been in my collection for almost twenty years.Social/Sharing |

Wow! This is amazing. Thanks for checking out my gallery. I learned something by checking out your fantastic collection. I grew up admiring Whelan's work on album covers like Sepultura's Arise and the first Dark Tower by Stephan King. Thanks!

"How often do you come across vintage Elric by Michael Whelan?" You DON"T! That's what makes this piece even more special in the fact that it has surfaced and your sharing it with us mere mortals. Whelan's art was and is genius to begin with but I've always loved his work on Elric. This piece truley captures the essence of Stormbringers gift to Elric, Somebodies SOUL. A very Powerful Image and thanks for sharing it.

I have been both an Elric and Whelan fan since about 1980. To my mind, Whelan defined Elric.

As a huge Elric fan, I love this piece! You can literally FEEL the soul force entering the Albino Prince's body. This would be a true gem in anyone's collection. Congratulations!

Wow this is what I can call ART!!! Always had a thing for Elric & the world in which he evolves. Dark Fantasy at his best - congrats, superb art that I would easily hang on my wall!!!!

Is this Elric of Melnibone?... and that must be the rune-carved sword "Stormbringer"...Super coool! I use to read books and short stories about him.

Whelan's representation of Elric has been one of my favorites. He understood that Elric was an albino...not some barrel chested bodybuilder. Fantastic image!
