This weekend is Gay Pride Celebrations in Los Angeles where I live so in honor of Coming Out and Being Yourself, I wanted to post some new additions to the LGBT Comic Universe.

This artwork originally posted in my other gallery for many years and it feels good to transfer this beautiful piece of artwork under this new gallery heading: LGBT Heroes- Catman of Secret Six!

This was my original posting in 2009:

“When I first saw Catman with his pride in Villains United, I knew this would be a character with chops as only Gail Simone and Dale Eaglesham reimagined him. He is one of my favorite characters and the real guts of Secret Six. I had the real pleasure to sit down, watch as this piece just unfolded--a wonderful and rare experience indeed. I loved chatting with Dale and Louise--and I especially loved that the fine details were added as suggested by Louise...when she asked me if I liked this piece...I emphatically said " I love it". You are are not going to find better people than Dale and Louise and I enjoyed every minute I spent at their table....I waited two years for this piece...but I have to say, the moments seeing it come to life and spending time asking Dale questions about his process and Louise about all things in Life....were really priceless and well worth it. Thanks Dale and Louise for making my first time in Toronto and Fan Expo an Amazing experience !!!”

Now in 2015, I have always hoped and wished Catman would have some fluidity in his sexuality and this is a dream come true. I am excited for the future stories that will chronicle this interesting (and hot) character.
Moreover, Dale and Lou are such great allies to the LGBT cause and I love them dearly. I am excited that Dale is back to Secret Six and that can only be heightened by the fact that Catman can be more open with his sexuality in his story lines and art. Thanks Gail Simone and Dale Eaglesham for your support of the LGBT community!
