Simple, effective, and searing hot! It's done in the core language comics to communicate how cool Wolverine is while only showing what is essential.

This is great! Reminds me of that old Miller cover but less "Come and get it" and more "Oh, you're getting it!"
Also dig the black & white significantly more than the published version... I was definitely not a fan of the laser claws look during that run. In this piece they look much more like the tradional adamantium stabby things that they are.
