DescriptionDanny Franks has had a revelation, and he'd like to share it with you. Can I get an amen? Well, Danny's not alone - the excellence of this page was a revelation to me. As I said to Dave Meaden (from whom I received my recent haul of Bad goodness, and who, if I've forgotten to thank him earlier, I will thank here) this page proved one of the stand-outs of the batch. One of the things I enjoy most about collecting art is the way that when you see certain pages 'in the flesh' (and there's a worrying image!) they come alive in a way they might not have done in the prog. Seeing the ghostly apparition of Danny's recently resurrected face in the first panel of this page blew me away - the strange geometric shapes in the background, the way his dreads intersect with the arcing patterns around him (as if his head were the very centre of cosmic creation), the fact he's even got a Krool-style eye-bubble going on - all remarkable. Or to put it another way...Bad Company - what was it like? I..t w...a...s w...o...n...d...e...r...f...u...l. Social/Sharing |
