I can't believe that I was able to commission a friend while working.
And it was under budget (even with tax) !!! At the last moment, I
suggested the chick on B.B.'s shoulder to 'kill 2 birds with 1 stone'.
Eric did a FINE job with the chalk, blending everything and really getting
his fingers dirty.
*** Someone asked about B.B. NOT using RED lipstick.
Well it's all wiped off on the other side of the chick !!!! Eric did give B.B.
some curled eyelashes, but I guess they don't show up too well. All drawings are 'supposed' to be of the patron either portrait or caricature.
And I WASN'T posing for THIS picture... I probably art-directed Eric too
much. And got a little alarmed when he was using a lot of black for B.B.'s
costume. I blurted out, 'Where's the purple?'. Of course Eric knew what he
was doing. Also at the last minute, I asked, 'Can you put an egg under
the chick ?'. I couldn't throw Eric off his groove. He produced a fine piece
of B.B. chicken art. The first of its kind !!!! ***
