Description

A great McGuiness cover to Liefeld's version of Fighting American which was published through Awesome.

I was super excited by McGuiness'art this early in his career, so fresh, so powerful, synthetising Manga and video games influences with US comics storytelling. I still love his style and art which has made leaps and bounds in terms of quality since then but it's not so new anymore by hypothesis.

Here I like the super badass pose and the over build ripped anatomy. Simple composition but effective.

Liefeld inked the figure and the rest is still in pencil.

This is part 7 of my b-day celebration :)
