Oh this one hits the sweet spot! I was first exposed to the radiator scene of ERASERHEAD in 8th grade during a free weekend of Showtime. My young mind was totally blown away by the strange lady singing "IN HEAVEN EVERTHING IS FINE." That's about all I could handle that evening but found myself seeking out a VHS copy months later to see what the heck that was all about which introduced me to the wonderfully surreal world of DAVID LYNCH. Next it was ELEPHANT MAN and then BLUE VELVET. I haven't been the same since. About ten years ago when we finished Route 66, I shared a meal with my wife at the original Shoney's Big Boy in LA where Lynch had his chocolate shake every day at 2:30PM. Hats off to a wonderful acquisition, Sienkiewicz is a natural channeling a genius like LYNCH.
