Description

I always liked the Invaders book during the 70's, it was my window into the beginnings of the Marvel Universe. Before even that, the stories reprinted in the 60's 'Fantasy Masterpieces' of the Golden-age characters were pretty damn cool and even creepy. The Captain America bad-guys were twisted, ugly and scary, more Monsters than super-villains. The Vision was strange, the Whizzer was weird.

On this version of the Invaders I tried to get a certain Golden-age feel, although the design of the Sub Mariner's trident was taken from Buscema's cover to the 60's # 1 cover. The Invaders (11x17) are 325. + postage
