DescriptionTodas las aventuras largas de Mortadelo y Filemón tienen una portada propia en alguna colección (Olé!, Ases del Humor, Magos del Humor, en su edición alemana Clever&Smart...), incluso las que no están dibujadas por Ibáñez. Sólo hay tres excepciones: "Simón el escurridizo", "El caso del señor Probeta" y la que nos ocupa, "La banda de Matt U'Salén" (guión de Jaume Ribera y dibujo de Juan Manuel Muñoz y Lurdes Martín).Jordi David Redo fue miembro del equipo que Blas Sanchís organizó en Bruguera en los años 70 para satisfacer la demanda de historietas de Mortadelo y Filemón produciéndolas paralelamente a Ibáñez y ha dibujado ahora (2014) esta portada para llenar ese vacío. Como personajes propios en Bruguera tuvo a "Pillo y Bollo" y "Rufo". Para el mercado internacional ha dibujado historietas de "Fix y Foxy" y de personajes Disney. "La banda de Matt U'Salen" fue publicada por entregas en Mortadelo nº8 a 14 (Ediciones B, 1987) y recopilada en el Olé! nº321 (Ediciones B, 1988) con una cubierta que nada tenía que ver con el contenido. En imágenes adicionales, el boceto previo (A3), los lápices (A3) que no se han perdido pues el entintado definitivo lo ha hecho calcando en hoja aparte (35,5x48cm aunque el área dibujada corresponde a un A3) y un intento de coloreado mío con la cabecera de un ficticio Magos del Humor. ¡Gracias, Jordi! Thanks for commenting!This series was actually quite big in little Norway, and if i remember correct it first came in a album series in the 70s under the name Flipp & Flopp before it had a few years break started again as Clerver & Smart. It also went as as a short pocketbook series. Great humor with a lot of laughs... Love it ; )

Que buena David, deberiamos dar el reconocimiento que se merecen a estos autores "negros" que participaron en tantos mortadelos y de los que no sabiamos nada, Redo, Casanyes, Lourdes Martin, Muñoz, Bancells, etc.. Una portada chulisima, enhorabuena.
