Description

My memories of Filmation's Freedom Force are so strong that it still amazes me that they only ever made 5 episodes. But, clearly, the plot was cool enough that I was hooked.

I've been trying for a long time to figure out how to fit them into a commission as they never really had any (good) villains of their own and the simple nature of Saturday morning cartoons just didn't seem to lend themselves to fighting someone like MODOK. It was only recently that I realized that the bad guy' just had to be really old. Maybe not a GAer but old none the less. Once I had that idea then it was easy to flip through early Marvels and see how the Fantastic Four's Rama-Tut would be a great villain. The idea of the Force being based in the "Valley of Time" and the notion that that meant it touched all times meant that Rama-Tut (an early Immortus / Kang) was a really nice fit. Picking the Fraims were the easy part of this. So here, with a perfect Saturday morning feel, are the Force: Hercules, Merlin, Sinbad, Isis and Super Samurai taking on the villainous Rama-Tut!

I'm intrigued by these characters and I don't even know who they are, except for Rama-Tut. Great work by the Fraims.
