Description

The incredible result of my wife's continued birthday generosity. This sat in the house for two weeks unopened until my Birthday, it was like Christmas when I was 9 years old. I couldn't wait until my birthday morning to open my present. Twice I might add, Amy wrapped a Masonite board and left it on the kitchen table for me, I had no idea it wasn't the art. She said the look on face was priceless when there was no art attached to the board.

As usual we told Rudy to present his interpretation of the classic cover and when I finally got to open this, I was absolutely stunned. Rudy is an incredible talent and a pleasure to commission, agreeable, talented and prompt.

In case you are wondering why this cover choice, my wife's favorite character is Black Canary and I thought it would be great to see Rudy's take on the classic Infantino cover.

I was expecting to see the cover reusing the original layout done in Rudy Nebres' style. What I saw when I followed the link was so much more lovely and dynamic. It looks more like a commission than a redrawing of the classic original cover. You've got a great wife, and I loved the neat trick she pulled on you with the masonite!
