SPEED COMICS #37 (1945) - Shock Gibson story pages 6 & 7

I have always been intrigued by golden age superheroes and the birth of super hero comics in the 40's. I am excited to post the original art for pages 6 and 7 of the Shock Gibson story from Speed Comics #37, published by Harvey Comics in May, 1945.

You can see Shock fighting Nazi henchmen on US soil in Louisiana. Shock swoops in to help out some locals who were being forced to produce a green germ that eats metal that the Nazis were using against the allies.

It's interesting to think when this comic hit the shelves in May, 1945 World War ll was nearing it's end with the death of Hitler and the fall of Berlin.

This is so cool. By the way, thanks for posting something that is actually older than I am! My recent birthday made me feel so old, but seeing this makes me feel better! Anyway, congrats on a very cool piece of comic history!
