Neal Adams and Dick Giordano The Flash #217 Green Lantern page 7 Original Art (DC, 1972). Here's a sensational Green Lantern portrait page from a ground-breaking Neal Adams story about Green Arrow, "The Killing of an Archer, Chapter 1." In this yarn, during an attack, Green Arrow accidentally kills one of his assailants. Afterwards he calls Dinah Lance, the Black Canary, to say good-bye forever, and Dinah summons Green Lantern -- talk about drama! The art is cinematic in detail with its rich blacks and Adams' attention to detail. No other artist could have pulled off this story with more realism. See the $150 price at the bottom of the page? That is what I traded it for the Deadman page I currently have in my collection back in the late 1970's to Mitch Itkowitz. Who else has owned this page and now it is in the upcoming Heritage auction.

It was one of those cases where I thought I had another page already from the same issue and wanted to get a Deadman page and didn't have cash handy. I was a college student at the time. I kept the great Green Arrow killing the guy on the fire escape page. I also missed my chance to buy the unpublished cover to X-men 56 for $300. There was also someone selling all the Spectre and Deadman pages through the Comic Buyers guide back then too. I wish I had bought some of those pages for $100 each!
