DescriptionSince the very first moment I saw this iconic image at Gabriel Bá and Fabio Moon's blog I dreamt of owning it but knowing that it was going to be auctioned I thought the price would probably go to an unreachable point for me so when I arrived at SDCC 2011 I went to Bá and Moon's booth to get the signed print at least. On saturday I went to the CBLDF Auction Gala with high hopes and feeling lucky; the artwork was laying there in a huge table and it was so much better in person than the printed card. I just grabbed a beer and sat down; when the moment came it was crazy!, I saw like four or five hands raised at the same moment and it was just the beginning of the auction! I just let pass every bid on the piece until the moment where nobody else raised hands, then I raised mine and… To my genuine surprise no one else put another bid! I just couldn't believe I left the building with this piece in my hands. This is my first Bá artwork and I'm sure it won't be the last, I'm just doubting I'll get another piece as spectacular as this one.Social/Sharing |
