Original artwork for the cover of Captain America: The 1940's Newspaper Strip Vol. 1 #2 (Marvel Comics, 2010) by the super talented, Butch Guice (pencils and inks). This was a 3-issue mini-series described as such:

"Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Uncovered at last: The 1940’s daily newspaper comic strip starring Captain America that you never knew about! Travel with us to the tumultuous days of World War II, when the star-spangled, shield-slinging Super- Soldier battled Axis threats alongside his wise-cracking, jaw-jacking sidekick Bucky! Plus: Rampaging robots! Secret underground cities! Dangerous dames! No-good Nazis that deserve a sock to the kisser!"

This wonderful image features the Sentinel of Liberty in full fledged melee with one of the Axis powers' giant killer robots. Guice is pulling out all the stops with this baby and even showcasing his Steranko mojo.
