Description

I had the idea to have Ethan do a commission for a little while but I didn't want the typical Green Lantern or Batman but something he's never done before and maybe would never do again. I knew he was a fan of the Walking Dead and I thought it would be a perfect match to pair up Ethan's style with the world of the Walking Dead. I had a chance to pick up the piece at the Chicago Comic-Con 2013 and found out Ethan had done a special variant cover of The Walking Dead #1 for the show. It was one of those "Hey! They stole my idea!" kind of moments but it was a great cover so it's okay. I personally believe this is a more dynamic piece than the cover. Rick is proactive and doing some damage to zombies as opposed to getting attacked by them.

I would have never thought to have Ethan do a Walking Dead commission. This turned out really well and could easily have been a cover for the regular series.
