Description

One of the most interesting love affairs/obsessions with the ultra complex Bane.

I really loved this scene for many reasons.

First and foremost the side shot of Bane buck naked in the bed with his buff hairy self. Yum.

Second, Scandal proclaims that she is a lesbian and Bane acknowledges and respects it.

Third, the ferocious, deadly Scandal Savage...in boxers?

Fourth, the last panel where she rests her head at Bane's all too generous torso is so touching. Sometimes all you need is a good cuddle.

Fifth, Bane's or rather (Simone's) statement, "It means that there is good in the world and a life worth living"--basically says it all.

Even such hard-edged, anti-heroes like Scandal Savage and Bane need to hold one to someone at night, just to hold and just to cuddle nothing more.

I can't wait for the new Batman movie and a gay Bane !!!

I have to admit that I know nothing of these character so your description was very helpful. For me, this could be a very real scenario. I'm really glad that you added the original page with the dialogue but the inked page has more to say without saying a word. A beautiful, sad and touching page- congratulations. I can see your draw to it (pardon the pun). :)
