DescriptionSpider-man: Blue is a love letter to Spidey and his two great loves (Gwen and Mary Jane). It's a solid story with a heartfelt ending. When I sold 90% of my comic collection a few years ago, this was one of the stories I held onto.This particular splash has always been my favourite from the series. The sultry look, the beautiful framing, its pop-art aesthetic...it's just stunning. I've admired it from afar for a long time. To have it in my collection, feels a bit surreal. Also...it looks so great alongside my Batman. Social/Sharing |

Iconic image of MJ. As time went on, even more than Aunt May, she became what brought Peter Parker his resolve in times of trouble.

Ah, the gorgeous MJ--The perfect subject for a page one splash from Spider-Man: Blue by Tim Sale. IMHO, Sale really captures what set Mary Jane apart--Her beauty, her come-hither look, and her elusiveness. He does all this in a very contemporary illustration style--Reminiscent of the Playboy illustrator, Patrick Nagel. It's all part of what sets Tim Sale's work apart and makes it bery special. Fabulous pick-up, congrats.
