Description

If you were a kid in the 70's you had this, I had this, we all had this. There was no way you could see the cover of this Marvel Premiere issue on the stand and not buy it. Keith Giffen created one of the greatest Marvel costumes for the Jack Of Hearts in his first appearance in The Deadly Hands of Kung Fu #22. You would think an artist would want to keep things simple to make things easy for himself, but not Giffen. This page is from JOH's first full comic story and Keith Giffen along with Rudy Nebres dove head first into all of that detail giving us this moody, ink heavy art work that is forever pierced in my memory. This is the only page with Jack Of Hearts battling in every panel. Last Sunday it was love at first site at the LA Comic Art Show and I had to have this page.

Great page. The 3rd and 5th panel are excellent for their expressions. Nebres' inks are always so tight!
