DescriptionI had right of first refusal on this page, and couldn't pass it up. I've had a number of Viking Prince pages pass through my hands over the years, but this one screamed "keeper!"A number of collectors have told me that they think VP is Joe's best work, and I'm inclined to agree. Just look at the detail on the pirate's face! I added a new (to me) golden age page yesterday... here's a new silver age page... and tomorrow (hopefully) I'll add a bronze age page that's the culmination of a near 40-year search. Rivals the adventure strips of the time period with large art comprised of these panels that are paced and tell the story in a similar way. Kubert shows us how to contruct that kind of illustraton storytelling within the comic book format.

Viking Prince is my favorite Kubert too with his war art being a close second. Great looking page.

Fantastic work by Kubert in this historic title for him.
Certainly understand how there was no passing this up!
