DescriptionThis is a classic cover from my long ago youth. The theme is choices. Which one do you save ?One of the sayings that a very smart nurse I know, shares with families who are struggling with life and death choices is ..."Not making a choice..is in fact a choice ! ". Emil set this one up but I chose to go with Greg LaRocque when no one could do the original pencils justice. Greg is professional all the way and I recommend him over and over again. Russ brought it home with his graphics ! Enjoy Social/Sharing |

I love this one; what a great cover choice as well. What do I read first, all the great Legion stories I have missed or the classic books you are basing the covers on? As always my friend, love the storytelling, love the passion the artist put into your ideas, and love the final design when it all comes together! Congrats!

What more needs to be said other than I really miss Greg LaRocque on a Legion book! This is some of his best cover work EVER! Normally I would have said "What's wrong with the cover Emil drew?",but Greg DID knock this out of the ballpark! This hit's the top of all your 2014 Legion covers Aidan!

I actually like the first version pencils better, as the image resembles the original cover more closely. In any case, I'm glad the final version matched your vision, which is what a commission is really about. Another winner, my friend!!!!

I'm a tad confused are the displayed pencils by somebody else? The perspective is a bit different with the inked piece conveying distance as opposed to more immediacy with the pencil version. Also are both by Greg or did Greg do inks over his own take?
Fascinating example of how different visions create different reactions to a project.

Yes the 1st pencils were done by Emil Cabaltierra. And no one inked them well enough so Greg started again from scratch

To me, for all that the Legion is set firmly in the "sci-fi" genre, the Time Trapper seemed to be a crossover genre villain , The hidden features, the rotten bandages on his hands and the fact that cockroaches crawl over his body always gave me the horror vibe.

You are killing me with your Greg Larocque collection ! I'd never entertained the thought of getting a commission, but seeing pieces as good as this - how can I not ?!
