DescriptionOne of the things I have enjoyed about the Legion is that although they are set in their own corner of the DC Universe, they are linked to so many different titles. Those links are important. When John Byrne relaunched The Man Of Steel that had never been a "Superboy" it damaged the Legion mythos. Other ones include the link between "The Flash" and his 30th century grandchildren XS and Impulse. The Green Lantern Corps endured and through Universo and rond Vidar, a Legion link was formed. Legion member Thom Kallhor aka Starman even became a member of the JSA. But it could have been much more. I would have loved to see the Legion visit 31st century Thanagar and Rann. Or see a future version of Paradise Island, Atlantis or Gorilla City etc etcI wanted to honor that super-heroic generational tradition in this cover and MC Wyman did a great job. The original Starman Ted Knight uses his cosmic power to stop two timelines from intersecting and obliterating everything. Russ did his usual stellar job. Enjoy Aidan Social/Sharing |

GK's cover provided a great jumping off point for this cover. It's interesting to compare his distinct style of anatomy with your cover. And it's a wonder that there wasn't more interaction between the Legion and the greater DC universe. Even the Flash himself could travel in time. And there were so many "imaginary" stories that they could have just made some take place in "reality".

Just as All Star Squadron..the JSA..and Infinity inc were legacy based, there was so much potential for the Legion to be the ultimate legacy team of the present-day DC Universe. Gil Kane's covers are in a class of their own of course but MC Wyman did a nice homage.

This is excellent---I love the idea of Star Man coming to the rescue of his future namesakes!

I Love the Legion , but that is my favorite Starman. A Big hitter of the golden age as far as I'm concerned. Great source cover and result.

Great take on Gil's original cover and MC so nailed the original Starman right down to his Superman inspired boots. This just makes me even more excited about the JSA piece MC is working on for me. Congrats!
