Description" I always LOVED him, you know ". This was a statement made by Duo Damsel at the funeral of Superboy. This among other remarks stuck with me. That is an unusual thing forany woman to say especially while wrapped in the arms of her husband. I remembered the image from the Adventure Comics story-line, where Lournu is crawling thru a storm drain fuming at Shadow Lass who was making moves on Mon-el , while she realses that her hero-worship crush on Superbay was historically doomed.Take this unrequited love and add in the elements of losing two-thirds of your own body & your very self while serving the Legion and we have a fertile ground for some cool story-telling. Add in John Watson artist extrodinaire and huge Legion fan and we have an epic in the making. We have worked on this series for over two years behind the scenes and tonight we raise the curtain on " A Multiplicity OF Murders". I am really excited about this event. We have reworked it over & over until we have moments that will shock, stun , make you feel uncomfortable but at the same time bring out the best in the Legion. Russ has worked with John & myself every step of the way. This is a labor of love so.... Enjoy Aidan Social/Sharing |

Aidan, this is sheer perfection! John Watson's fantastic art is made for this: he gets the Legion, and it shows in all of his work. I really like his take on Superboy, and the emotion of his struggle against his captivity. I'm ecstatic that you're going to pick up the Adventure-era attraction of Duo Damsel to Superboy. That Mordru story (reprinted in the giant tabloid) was one of the earliest Legion stories I ever read---I felt bad for Luornu getting brushed off by Clark! Can't wait for the next installment!

Can't wait for the next installment! We are going to push this arc to "Fatal Attraction" & "A Deal With The Devil" levels. How does Chuck deal with been the rebound guy after she lost her powers and always a second fiddle to the greatest hero in the universe ? What deal with the Trapper offer her that puts her on a dark path ? In putting this together, John & I argued , only as passionately as Legion fans can , to make this flow organically. Much, much more to follow

Too bad DC isn't doing a Legion book with John doing the art today, he would really rock on that title as it shows here.

He will be here for the Baltimore Comic Con this fall and will be doing a very limited number of pre-con commissions at a great price. For fellow Legion fans, he will do free sketches IF you can answer some Legion trivia questions. Lots of fun to come, so stay tuned.

Unfortunately, that's probably not a con that I can get to, but glad to hear that he's making it over here.

Not that your other artists don't, but John Watson really gets the Legion. He always impresses. Thanks for sharing.

Please DC - bring back the classic Legion and give to writer Aidan Lacy and artist John Watson - there is no better pair in the commission business......

Just look at those nasty fingernails! Watson's skills have improved so much since I first saw his art many years ago. He and Russell make a great team!

Duo Damsel's statement at the funeral always resonated with me too. I love this series. You and John remain one of the greatest teams on CAF.
