DescriptionA little earlier than usual this week but I proudly offer; another John Watson gem. In Superboy & The Legion of Superheroes Issue 200, Duo Damsel & Bouncing Boy marry, only to have the wedding ceremony on Mars, rudely interupted by Starfinger who kidnaps one of Duo's bodies. Turns out that this "Bridezilla" did not forgive or forget that insult and Starfinger will find out that she was talking about his head when she utters the words " 'Till Death Do Us Part "Since she is now a time traveller where else do you go to for a death by guillotine but 18th century Paris at the height of the French Revolution ? John did his usual awesome job but I have to commend & highlight some beautifully detailed work that he did on the buildings in the background. I want to thank Russ as well. He did a last minute digital fix on Chapter 14, 15 and today's offering Chapter 16. Starfinger dies. Another "wrong" is righted so who is next on the list ? We are 188 images into this Infinite Timelines story and I resisted the urge many times up to now to use an iconic image. I wanted to save the cover of Crisis On Infinite Earths Issue 7 for something very special. And I believe that next weeks offering meets that criteria, it is time....Who is blocking Duo path to happiness ? Enjoy Aidan Social/Sharing |

Even if this wasn't as cool as it it it would still be better than the original cover!! Nicely done :) !

Wow...John Watson really good. He captured the style of Brian Bolland to the 'T'. Awesome piece!

Beautiful linework---love the wooden guillotine! One of the reasons that I picked this cover was I remember fondly an Adventure Comics era, Legion time travel story with Universo were Saturn Girl ended up in the middle of France's Regin Of Terror with Madame La Guillotine ! A homage within an homage, if you will.

It's one of my favorite stories. Your research into those that offended Luornu is mind boggling, John Watson's remarkable work astounds, Russ' completion is excellent, and this series is compelling. I look forward to it each week. Next best thing to having a Legion book.

A day earlier than usual is ok with me when the material is this good! John had the Bolland flowing here! Sensational!

Absolutely stunning commission with incredible background, front images are nothing to sneeze at either.
I'm unfamiliar with the original cover but this packs an emotional punch.
Got a question, are both duo damsels crazy in this story-line or are they psychologically split?

Been a while since I commented on CAF! This piece was a lot of fun to draw but it did take quite a while. Bolland is so precise and his linework so refined, it's pretty difficult to draw in that way, a great educational experience in trying however. It was fun to draw Duo in her wedding dress from SLSH 200 too. I do intend to colour all the issues in this series eventually.
