DescriptionA bone-chilling cover deserves a goose-bumping, eye-popping homage . Jann just knocked this out of the ball-park. Russ provides the trimmings but Mr Galino's interpretation is a feast for the eyes. You can see from the prelim's how much work & effort went into thisEnjoy Aidan Social/Sharing |

The simplicity of the Kaluta cover is rather delicate and would have fallen apart with all the superhero tropes added to it, so your editorial decision to go with a completely different angle and intensity was spot on. Of course, Galino and Payne still had to tread the line between horror and superheroics and I think they pulled it off quite nicely.

You nailed our thinking process. The orange background on the original cover also helped give it contrast. You can see from the 3 Prelim's that Jann Galino drew, just how the angle of the "stinger" made all the difference. Also, speaking of angles, although word balloonshave fallen out of favor, I think Russ' work helped add to the dramatic tension with a believeable angle for conflict between the two.

I think this is one of the most brutal looking pieces on CAF. Is that a good thing?? I'm not sure but it speaks to how well this was executed.

My favorite cover yet from this series. I can easily see this as a 70's era Legion story. Can't wait to see what's next!

Wow!! What a baller piece. Its so out of character to see lovely Lana look so evil. I almost feel bad for Pete...almost.

Oh man ... that is superb. A cover I would never have envisaged working with the Legion characters --- and yet it fits brilliantly. Top job!

In my opinion, one of the things that makes the original cover work is the seemingly imposible arched back of the man , as the spider inches closer. We shifted angles but by adding to the length of the scoprion stinger we got that same arch effect.
