I don't always recognize the newer covers, but I recognized this one right away. The limited art space that was the fashion back then works well here.

The "box" frames the action nicely.I love the Lightning Lad "substitute" for the Vision and little Graymn and Validius hanging on for dear life. I know I pick often obscure covers that facilitate the story-line's movement but like you, I am a sucker for the classic. Next week, with a very shocking cover, we use another iconic instantly recognizable image by Neal Adams ( with a brilliant Trevor VonEeden twist ! )

While I pretty much like every Re-Legion cover, the ones based on classic Silver and Bronze Age covers are by far my favourites - and this one is a prime example of why that's the case.

Great homage to this classic Neal Adams cover from my all-time-favorite Avengers storyline (written by the great Roy Thomas,drawn by Sal Buscema, Neal Adams, and John Buscema in Avengers #89–97,1971 / 1972, much later tied-in with "Secrete Invasion",etc..).
