Description

I received this little surprise in the mail from an old friend of mine in California. Apparently, I left this cover layout in my friend's apartment way back in the mid-80's while visiting sunny L.A.. Frequenting my website, my pal thought I could put it this unpublished pencil cover to good use and mailed it back to me. This cover, depicting actual scenes from X-Factor's adventure into the U.S.S.R., was rejected for being a little too busy. Eventually, I settled on a more symbolic design for the published version. This cover was pencilled in 1986 and inked in 2005. I also added the logo and trade dress.

One of my fav annulas ever right there. That one & the Iron man annual with X-Factor were just an amzing one-two punch that year.
