Purchased from Bernie Wrightson at San Diego ComiCon.

I got to meet the artist himself at ComiCon while he was selling pages from "Creepshow". (For the record, he was the nicest guy and a pleasure to chat with.) I asked if he had any of the "Jordy Verrill" pages left; he didn't, but he did have two from "The Crate" - it was a choice between this one and the resultant carnage shown two pages later, and I went for the slow but inevitable build-up in this one.

This page showcases how great Wrightson is with his subtler details as well as his larger paint-strokes. Look at the use of the differently-colored tones on the janitor's head in the last three panels; a single flesh-tone could have been used throughout, but Wrightson chose to add an ominous red shade to the left side of the face - which suddenly expands and adds to the nastiness of the ensuing "It's feeding time" moment.
