Description

So here is the story...

Prior to my relationship with arguably THE Spidey fan....I was a pretty substantial one myself....particularly in the Black Cat area. I have a fairly impressive Felicia collection of statues and assorted goodies...etc.etc.

While visiting Steph (for his wedding!), I was talking about how, when 2 similar minded fans get together in, say a relationship, that they either go head to head over who is the "bigger fan" and unofficially compete for better collection, or step back a bit and allow the other one to step forward in his or her respective area of fandom.

Seeing as how I have many characters that I am attracted to and collect, most notably MOTU/Evil-Lyn, and seeing as how even Romita Sr. probably doesn't have as much Spidey (or Cat) stuff as my significant other, it was obvious that this was the area/time for me to take one step back and enjoy HIS collection.

I brought this up over breakfast, as it is a little known fact about my collecting since it has been overshadowed by his Juggernaut of a collection...and because I think it is an interesting social dynamic that happens in groups of friends/fans/collectors. Everyone seems to let everyone have "their" character so as to avoid toe stepping. Geek social dynamics. Interesting.

After this conversation and prior to our departure back East, Steph presented me this AWESOME Cat piece.
HOTNESS.

Not only is it gorgeous, but the fact that it was presented to ME, out of the 2 of us, was really damn cool.
