DescriptionMy first Amazing Spider-man cover! This page is right from the beginning of my comic collecting years and one of the first ASMs I picked up off the newsstand. That is one huge Kingpin – love the way he keeps enjoying his cigarette as he tries to smash poor Spidey with a desk! Oodles of thanks to Thomas Fish for letting me pry this from him. Awesome cover--Romita's finishes are so classic that I wouldn't have known that was Cockrum under there; but looking at it now I recognize his great composition and craftsmanship. Best of both worlds!

They should have had Cockrum do more issues. His Spider-Man stuff was great!

Great action cover!!!! The Romita Sr inks make this piece feel like a "Romita" even though it's Dave Cockrum pencils. Congrats!!!!

While I'm thrilled to have scored a sweet battle page out of this book. You certainly have obtained the jewel. I mean, come on. Kingpin VS Amazing Spider-Man cover by the one and only Jazzy John Romita? That's an act that's tough to top. This is a favorite comic of mine, growing up, and still is. I'm blown away by this.

"... love the way he keeps enjoying his cigarette as he tries to smash poor Spidey with a desk! "
He thought it would be more impressive than doing it while he chewed gum.
Not much to say about this piece of Marvel history other than it is friggin' awesome!
