I got to meet the master himself! Bernie wasn't doing sketches at Calgary but was selling numerous pieces at the con. Many of them Batman and Swamp Thing but the above caught my eye more than anything else.

I should apologize but this isn't an actual piece of art from The Thing such as concept sketch or what have you. Bernie was telling me it was art he was commissioned to do for a TV show on sci fi and other things. For the life of me I can't remember the show's name. It was an illustration that was meant to be "The Thing" without it actually being from the Movie.

So the art is basically like the meme, "I'm not saying it was Aliens, but it was Aliens." Bernie basically said, "It's not The Thing, but it's The Thing." Bernie was super nice and the art I got is amazing. I should have it framed. Cheers - enjoy all.

This is a great piece... I just picked up the YGTBFKM piece, as that was my favorite line from an incredibly awesome movie (especially for the time). Wrightson is an awesome talent, and this spaceship scene is stellar! Congratulations!
